He married Johanna Margaretha Fisher (1712-1775) in 1735 in Goshenhoppen, Pennsylvania. They had eleven children. Johann died in 1787 in Montgomery, Pennsylvania. Wendel Miller, son of Michael Miller and Anna Marie Linxweller, was born in about 1724 in Mannheim, Germany. He married Nancy Stucky in about 1755. They had eight children. He married Christina Fisher in about 1770. They had eight children. He died in 1805 in Rowan County, North Carolina. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in North Carolina.

Hans Johannes (Pheiffer) Phifer, son of Leonard Pheiffer and Brigetta Haner, was born 19 July 1685 in Bretzwill, Basel, Switzerland. He married Agnes Moschinger, daughter of Hans Moschinger and Agnes, in 1706 in Rumlingen, Switzerland. They had eleven children. Five of their sons immigrated to America, settling in Pennsylvania and North Carolina.
