Artemas Day and his family moved from Maryland to Washington County, Pennsylvania about 1802. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Ohio and elsewhere. Some descendants became members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and lived in Utah and elsewhere.

Nicholas Boogher emigrated from Germany and settled in Pennsylvania in 1727. His descendant, John Booher (1773-1860), was the son of Bartholomew Booher of Frederick County, Maryland. John and his wife, Elizabeth Crull (1772-1865), had eleven children, 1795-1817. Their first four children were born in Washington County, Pennsylvania. Theobald Nabinger was born in about 1714 and lived in Wolfersweiler, Germany. His father was Johann Konrad Nabinger. He married Maria Anna Margretha Schwab, widow of Jno. Michael Wagner and mother of thirteen children, 2 January 1742. Theobald and his stepson, John Henry Wagner, emigrated in 1742 and settled in Pennsylvania.
