Edward Charles Walker was born in Indiana in 1895. He married Clara Mabel Klein and they had seven children. Their ancestry came from several southern states and from Germany. Information on their ancestry and related lines is given in this material. Descendants live in Indiana, Alabama, and elsewhere. Includes Thomas, Klein, Kurtz, Hubbard, Umbreit, and related families.

Johannes Kurtz emigrated from Germany to Russia in 1766. His children settled in Dönnhof colony, Russia. Johannes Kurtz ( 1856-1926), son of Johannes Kurtz (1808-1900) and Maria Catharina Eichler (1830-1899), was born in Dönnhof, Russia. He married Catharina Elisabeth Lind (b. 1854), daughter of Johann Michael Lind (1829-1893) and Maria Elisabeth Jacobÿ (1830-1906), in 1875.

The Kurtz Bros. business sold school supplies and equipment and, later, printed advertising and promotional products. The business was started in 1894 by Charles Kurtz and is still a family business. Includes information on ancestors and descendants of the founder and his wife, Pauline Louise Marie Stutz.

Jonathan S. King (1833-1911) married Catherine Lapp (1830-1908). They were both of Pennsylvania. Ancestry is traced to Samuel Koenig, born ca. 1724 who married Anna Yoder, born ca. 1728.

Gerd Edwin Paul Käss (aka Gert Edwin Kaess in America), son of Paul Ernst Käss and Dorothea Dorschke, was born in 1947 in Heutingsheim, Germany. He immigrated to America in 1965. He married Mary E. Dawson in 1967 in Chicago, Illinois. They had twin sons. He died in 1972. 'Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Germany, Ireland, Virginia, Illinois, Indiana, and Mexico.

Johan Adam Mohn (1794-1873), son of Anton and Abaline Mohn, married Katherine (1813-1881). Johan and Katherine settled in Northern Pennsylvania. Johan was buried in Lehartsville, Pennsylvania. Descendants and relatives also lived in the village of Blattadahl, Centre Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania, and in California, Illinois, Iowa, Ohio, and elsewhere.

Johann Georg Deines (b. ca. 1721) with his wife Elisabeth and their children migrated from Germany to Gololobowka, Russia in 1767. Descendants began emigrating in the early 1900s settling mainly in Pennsylvania, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado and Wyoming.

Noah Schmucker, son of David Schmucker and Mary Lapp, was born in 1833. He married Leah Stoltzfus (1834-1914), daughter of Samuel Stolzfus and Fannie Beiler, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. They had five children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Germany, Pennsylvania, Missouri and Ontario.
