Melville Wheaton, son of Joseph Wheaton and Sarah Wheeler, was born 23 Jan 1800 in Fairfield, Franklin County, Vermont. He married Anne Hunt, parents unknown, about 1830 in Canada. They had 7 children. Melville died 2 June 1875 in Evangeline Township, Charlevoix County, Michigan. Anne also died there on 5 June 1883. Their descendants have lived in Michigan, Ohio, Canada, Montana, Minnesota, and other areas throughout the United States.
