Andreas Windberg was born in Anhalt, Prussia August 22, 1846. He arrived at the Port of Galveston, Texas on June 2, 1870. He married Wilhelmine Anna Sturm, daughter of Christian and Auguste Miller Sturm, February 23, 1871 in Austin County, Texas. They had eight children. Andreas died April 7, 1906 and Wilhelmine died January 25, 1920. Both are buried in St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery in Schroeder, Texas. Descendants lived mainly in Texas.

Friedrich Galow (ca.1811-1890/1905) married twice and emigrated in 1864 from Germany to Green Lake County, Wisconsin. Descendants lived in Wisconsin, Minneapolis, North Dakota and elsewhere. Some descendants immigrated to Ontario and elsewhere in Canada.
