John Lemmon was born 12 June 1780 in Orange County, North Carolina. His parents were Peter Lemmon and Mary Bowles. He married Priscilla Abbott 21 July 1804 in Sumner County, Tennessee. They had twelve children. John died 29 October 1846 in Adams County, Illinois. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Tennessee, Indiana, Utah and California.

George S. Lemon (1788/9-1866), son of Frederick and Mary Sea Lemon, was born in Botetourt Co., Va. In 1809 he married Nancy Gilliland (ca. 1792/3-1872) in Simpson Creek, Botetourt Co., Va. Michael Reasor (1760-1843), a Revolutionary War soldier, was born at Winchester, Virginia, the son of Michael Reasor (1735-1829), and a descendant of Wellington Reasor, immigrant of 1653.
