Chiefly a record of George Moose and is wife Maria Peck. George is the son of Jacob Mussgnug (1757-18030 and Barbara Buzzard (1764-1848). He was born 22 Aug 1800 in Cabarrus County and died there 30 Nov 1851. He married Mariah Peck 26 Feb 1830 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina. They had five children 1831-1846. Descendants lived in North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina and elsewhere.

Thomas Gillespie (1727-1796) married Naomi Thompson in 1745 and they moved to Rowan County, North Carolina. One of their descendants married into the Lentz family which had also settled into Rowan County. There were originally four Lentz brothers who settled in North Carolina and raised large families. Descendants live in North Carolina, Illinois and other parts of the United States.

Paul Smeltzer (ca.1780-1871) was born in Tipperary, Ireland. He and Ann Mercere were married in 1813 and immigrated to Ontario, Canada in 1833. One son, William (1816-1901) married Ann Thompson in 1843 and they moved to Benzie County, Michigan. Descendants also lived in Pennsylvania, Idaho, California and elsewhere.
