Thomas Ligon (1586-1675) emigrated in 1641 from England to Jamestown, Virginia, and shortly thereafter settled in Henrico County, Virginia. He and his wife Elizabeth (c. 1643-1720) has four children, the first three born in France and the fourth probably in North America. In 1686 Pierre and his family moved to North America.
