Description
Brothers John (1803-1874) and Nicholas Friederich (1809-1859) were born in Hombourg-Haut, Lorraine, France. Their parents were Georges Friderich (1775-1831) and Anne Andre. John married Marguerite Jager in 1826. Nicholas married Anne Margureite Kieffer. Their families emigrated in the 1840s and settled in Mascoutah, Illinois. Ancestors, Descendants and relatives lived mainly in France and Illinois. .

John Jacob Link (Hans Jacob Linckh) was born at Grossgarthach near Heilbronn, Germany on 20 October 1682. He married Elizabeth König in 1708, and Anna Magdalena Neuwirth in 1720. They immigrated to Philadelphia in 1733, and settled in Oley Hills, Pennsylvania. He died in 1738. Descendants have resided throughout the United States.

John Link (b. ca. 1750) came from Germany during the Revolutionary War as a mercenary soldier to help the British fight the Americans. German mercenary troops served the British from 1776-1784. John was captured at Brandywine and after the war he settled in Virginia. Descendants lived in Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, and elsewhere. Johann Wendell Pulver was born about 1670 in the Palatine, Germany. He married Anna Catherine Busch, the daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth Busch of Steinbrucken, Germany. The Pulver and Busch families immigrated to America in 1710 and settled near Rheinbeck, New York. Johann and Anna had five children. Johann died in 1747. Descendants and relatives lived in New York, Ohio, Illinois and elsewhere.
