John Watson Littlejohn was born 5 May 1855 in New Deer, Aberdeen, Scotland. He married Ann Aiken (d.1886), daughter of George Aiken and Margaret Falconer, in 1877. They had four children. He married Ada Belle Fenton, daughter of Jacob Fenton and Lucy Ann Baird, in 1890 in Norwich, Connecticut. They had seven children. He died in 1932 in Thomaston, Connecticut. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Connecticut, New York and Maine.

About 1670 three of the sons of Sir Walter Blount came to America. One of them settled in Virginia, while the other two are thought to have gone to North Carolina. James who settled in North Carolina died in 1725, leaving only one son, John. His descendants are listed in this material including William Blount who signed the Constitution and later was the governor of the territory that became Tennessee.
