Chiefly a record of some descendants of John Morrison and Janet Urquhart. John was born ca. 1799 in Stomoway, Isle of Lewis and died prior to 16 Aug 1877. He married 26 Dec 1828 to Janet Urquahart. She was born ca. 1806 and died 21 Apr 1885 in Ullapool. They were the parents of four sons and two daughters. Descendants lived in Scotland, South Africa, Australia, Canada, and elsewhere.

Ancestors of Amos D. Lockwood. Amos D. Lockwood was the son of Benoni Lockwood and Phebe Green. Benoni Lockwood (1777-1852), the son of Benoni Lockwood (1733-1781) and Phebe Waterman, married Phebe Green, the daughter of Rhodes Green (1755-1821) and Phebe Vaughan, in 1798.

John Davenport (1597-1670) married Elizabeth Wolley, and after going to Holland in 1633, returned to England to immigrate in 1637 to New Haven, Connecticut. They moved to Boston, Massachusetts in 1667. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York and elsewhere. Much of the book contains family history and genealogical records to 1086 A.D. in England.

The Blocksom family is believed to have come from Scotland to Virginia during the colonial period. One branch of the family settled in Delaware before 1780 and became land holders. Information on members of the Blocksom family who settled in Sussex county, Delaware and probably descend from either Richard, William, or Southy Blocksom is included in this material.

William R. Lockwood (1815-1867) and his wife, Elizabeth, were married in 1842. They had eight children, 1844-1860. Their daughter, Mary Ann Lockwood (1851-1888), married Julius Sterenberg in 1869. They had seven children, 1873-1886. A note states that William R. and Elizabeth Lockwood homesteaded in Humble in 1860. They and many of their children are buried in Brookside Cemetery, Houston, Texas.

Josiah Fogg was born 1726 in Hampton, New Hampshire. His grandfather (Samuel Fogg) lived in Exeter, England and immigrated to the United States in 1630. Josiah was an active patriot during the Revolutionary War and earned the rank of major. He married Sarah (surname unknown) sometime prior to the year 1778. Josiah died in Deerfield, Rockingham Co., New Hampshire. Descendants lived primarily in Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey and elsewhere.

Francis Locke (1809-1875) was born in Armagh, Ireland. He married Mary Robinson in 1840 at Clopher, Ireland. They had four children, 1841-1847. The family immigrated to the United States in 1847 and settled in Posey County, Indiana. He married his 2nd wife, Elizabeth Ann Gutherie there in 1848.
