Benjamin Franklin Wince (d.1883), son of Jacob Wince, moved from Pennsylvania to Clarksville, Iowa. Valentine Sherman Wince (1865- 1956), a son, married Ruth Elizabeth James and moved to Vermillion, South Dakota in 1910. Descendants lived in Iowa, South Dakota, Illinois, Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma and elsewhere.

"True to family tradition, he appears in various records with a C spelling more than half of the time, and he signed his will as James Cannaday." Henry Newby, son of Henry Newby, was born in about 1675/1680 near Liverpool, England. He came to America in about 1696 as in indentured servant. He married Mary Whalley, daughter of James Whaley. They had seven children. He died in 1741 in White Chapel Parish, Lancaster County, Virginia. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia, Tennessee, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico and California.
