David Ridenour was born on 14 Aug. 1793 in Carmel Church, Caroline County, VA and died on 16 Mar. 1879 in Anderson County, TN. He was the son of Henry Ridenour and Susannah Webb. David married Elizabeth Heath on 15 June 1811 in Anderson County, TN. She died before 1860.

Johann Andreas Dressler (b.1714) married Anna Barbara Bernhardt in 1737, emigrated in 1749 from Germany to Philadephia, and settled at Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. They later moved to Berks County, Pennsylvania. Descendants (chiefly spelling the surname Tressler) and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, New Jersey and elsewhere. Henry Sharp married Barbary Graves, daughter of "old John Graves of Stinking Quarter Creek" Orange County, North Carolina. They had ten children. They were living in Orange County, 1779-1782. Sometime before 1785 they moved to Botetort County, Virginia, later moving to Mongomery County, Virginia. In 1789, they moved to Tennessee, settling in Knox County. Valentin Alt emigrated in 1738 and settled in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania with two of his children. He married Maria Catharina Schmidt in 1744. They had nine children. Martin Loy was probably born in the Rheinpfalz or the Rhenish Palatinate sometime between 1700 and 1720. The immigrated to America, arriving at Philadelphia in 1741. He was living in Augusta County, Virginia, in 1753. He and his wife, Catherina, had at least four children. He wrote his will in 1777 in Orange County, North Carolina. Descendants listed lived in North Carolina, Tennessee, Ohio, Iowa, Kansas and elsewhere.

Matthew Frank (1798-1868) was born in Frankfort, New York to Lawrence Frank, Sr. (1749-1813) and Mary Myers (1753-1831). He was the grandson of Henry Frank who had emigrated from his native Germany in the early 1700s. In about 1820 Matthew moved to Ohio where he married Barbara Loy (1805-1877). They became the parents of six children.
