The earliest known Lynch was John Lynch (1778-1863) who was born in South Carolina and married Elinore Henson. They were the parents of Warren Lafayette Lynch (1839-1916) who was born in Georgia. He eventually moved to Texas where he was married three times and was the father of nine children. Descendants live in the United States.

James Lynch (1843-1926), son of Maurice Lynch and Mary McMahon, was born in Limerick, Ireland. He married Rose Boyle (1857-1940), daughter of Edward Boyle and Catherine Shallow, in 1880 in Montreal, Quebec. They settled in Tara Towenship, Traverse County, Minnesota. He died in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Nicholas Braun was born in Kreis Marzig, Prussia in 1818. According to his naturalization papers, filed in Milwaukee in 1847, he emigrated to the United States in 1846. Nicholas married Magdeline B.
