Descendants (chiefly spelling the surname De La Mater, Delamater, or Le Maitre) and relatives lived in New York, New England, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Florida, Ohio, Illiniois, California, Iowa and elsewhere. Joseph Elias Carroll was born 25 September 1781 in York District, South Carolina. His parents were Joseph Carroll (1746-1803) and Martha Swancey (1752-1849). He married Isabella Henry (1788-1840), daughter of William Henry and Rosannah Moore. They had thirteen children. Joseph died 18 August 1860 in Louisiana, Missouri. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Ireland, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Missouri.

Thomas Nutbrown was probably born in 1786 in Howden, Yorkshire. He married Ann Cottam 31 January 1811 in Thorganby, Yorkshire. They had twelve children. They emigrated in about 1830 and settled in Leeds, Quebec, Canada. Thomas died in 1858. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Quebec, Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Minnesota and Michigan.

Niklaus/Nicholas Fankhauser (1782-1858) was born in Trub, Bern, Switzerland, the son of Niklaus and Maria Rass Fankhauser. In 1806, he married Anna Pfister and they had at least six children. She died in Switzerland about 1817. About 1818, he married Sophia Spittler and they immigrated to Ohio. Descendants have scattered throughout the United States.
