Rudolph Duckwall was born in 1696 and immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1737 from the Isle of Wight in England. He settled near Mannheim, Pennsylvania. His son, George Frederick, was born in 1725 and about 1780 settled near Berkley Springs, West Virginia. He died in 1809. Descendants lived in Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Kansas, Oklahoma, Indiana, California, Oregon, Idaho, and elsewhere.

George Elvis Skinner was born 26 June 1864 near Joliet, Illinois. His parents were Byron Skinner and Henrietta Shaw, He married Jessie Aurelia Taylor (1869-1943), daughter of Uzziel C. Taylor and Margaret I. Madden, 2 May 1888. They had four children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Illinois, Indiana and Iowa.

Josias Lanham was born in England, probably in Suffolk County. He married Mary Tibbold 14 February 1621/22. They had six children. Their grandson, John Lanham, was born in Wortham, Suffolk, England 18 May 1661. He immigrated to the United States in 1678. He married Dorthy Burch in 1689. John and Dorthy had four known sons, all born in Maryland. John likely died in Maryland sometime after the year 1745.

Jeremiah J. Murphy (1814-1905) was the son of James Murphy and his wife (Driscrol) Murphy of Cork, Ireland.
