George Mortimer Cecil was born 10 October 1843 in Hyattstown, Maryland. His parents were Wilson Hammond Cecil (1820-1907) and Mary Ellen Smith. He married Sarah Jane Roelke 8 April 1867. They had thirteen children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Maryland, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
