Mr. George Stillman (b.ca1654-1728) was probably born at Steeple Ashton, Wiltshire, England. Previous research indicates that Mr. George Stillman was a descendant of the Styleman family of Steeple Ashton. He emigrated to the colonies and settled first at Hadley, Mass. in 1690 or earlier. John May (1590-1670) was the master of sea vessel named "the James" which he sailed as early as 1635 between London and New England. Simon Huntington (1583-1633) was born in England (perhaps in Hempstead). He married twice, and immigrated in 1633 with his second wife, Margaret Huntington, to Roxbury, Massachusetts. He died at sea, and she married Thomas Stoughton in 1635/1636 and settled in Windsor, Connecticut. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Washington, California and elsewhere.

Anthony Souder was born in 1730, possibly in Germany. He emigrated in 1750. He married Margareta or Margarite Maurer (1739-1805), daughter of Herman Maurer and Anna Maria, in about 1759. They had seven children. They lived in Dover Township, York County, Pennsylvania, Loudon County, Virginia and Frederick County, Maryland. Anthony died in 1803.
