Description
Moses Helm was probably born in Ireland before 1710. He married Sarah and they immigrated to America about 1740. They settled in Virginia where they became the parents of eight children. Information collected on many of their descendants is given in this material which was the background material for a book published on the descendants of Moses Helm. Descendants now live in Tennessee, Virginia, Illinois, Mississippi, and elsewhere.

John Jared (b.1737), a son of Thomas Jarett and Martha Kinchin, moved from Isle of Wight County to Loudoun County, Virginia before 1755, married twice, and later moved to Bedford County, Virginia. Descendants lived in Virginia, the midwest and elsewhere. Some descendants became members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, living in Utah, Idaho, Colorado and elsewhere.

Floyd MacAllister was born in 1907 in Russell County, Kansas. His parents were Frank McAllister and Delphia E. Stephenson. He married Willa Mae Swanson, daughter of John Swanson and Emma Ida Adelman, in 1934. They had three sons. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Germany, Sweden, Pennsylvania, Kansas, Washington and Oregon.

Thomas Thompson (d.ca.1795) was a farmer in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He married Ann Finney, daughter of Joseph and Rebeccah Crispin Finney. The Finneys had originated in England and later lived for a time in Barbados. Thomas and Ann were the parents of eight children. In about 1750 they moved to Orange County, North Carolina. Their descendants lived in North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri and other parts of the United States.

Hugh McAlister, of Scottish lineage, emigrated about 1730 from Ireland to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He married Miss harbison, and they had eight children. Descendants (chiefly spelling the surname McAllister) and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky and elsewhere.

John Daniel Thompson McAllister was born 19 February 1827 in Lewis, Delaware. His parents were J.F. McAllister and Eliza Thompson. He married Ellen Handley in 1847. Ebenezer Brown (1801-1879) was of the son of William and Hanna Sweet Brown. He was born in Herkimer (formerly Montgomery) County, New York. He and Ann Weaver were married in 1823. The family moved to Far West, Missouri in 1838. He married Phebe Draper Palmer in 1842 and joined the Mormon Battalion soon after.

Edward Fox, parents not listed, was born about 1645 in England. He married Mary Allen, daughter of Charles Allen. They immigrated to America before 1684. They had 6 children.
