David Lonergan and his wife, Mary Quirke (1789-1879) came to New York in 1841 from Ireland and settled in Utica and then moved on to Wisconsin. Their son, Dennis (1834-1908), was born in Cashel, Ireland and immigrated with his parents. He married Margaret Duffy (1829-1873), born on Prince Edward Island. They moved to Nebraska in 1856 where he died in Omaha and she died in Florence.

James Ramage (1801-1876) was born in Penicuik, Scotland, the son of William Ramage and Hellen Bertram. In 1825 he married Christina Hunter. Several of their children, involved in the paper-making trade, immigrated to New England. Descendants lived in New England, Alabama, Wisconsin, Texas, Arizona, and elsewhere.
