David Lonergan and his wife, Mary Quirke (1789-1879) came to New York in 1841 from Ireland and settled in Utica and then moved on to Wisconsin. Their son, Dennis (1834-1908), was born in Cashel, Ireland and immigrated with his parents. He married Margaret Duffy (1829-1873), born on Prince Edward Island. Joseph C. Stegmaier (1849-1915) was born in Wurttemburg, Germany and immigrated to the United States before he married Johanna Zech in Mankato, New Mexico 30 June 1874. They were the parents of at least ten known children who were all born in Eagle Lake, New Mexico.
