Three sons, John, Louis, and Victor, of Jean and Catherine Heydacker of the Alsace-Lorraine region of France, immigrated to the United States in the 1860s. Descendants listed, chiefly descendants of John D. Heydecker and Louis Heydacker (1838-1892), lived in Massachusetts, Illinois and elsewhere. The surname is spelled Heydacker and Heydecker. Michael McElwreath and his wife, Jencie Carson, came from Belfast, Northern Ireland and settled in Spartanburg, South Carolina in the late 18th century. They later moved to Carroll County, Georgia ca. 1830. Their son, John (1812-1894), married Ann Eliza McClung in 1839. Descendants lived in South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, and elsewhere.

William Baxter Crawford (1850/1851-1923), son of George Crawford (b.ca. 1814) and Naomi Hipes, moved from Botetourt County, Virginia to Bristol, Tennessee. He married (1) Frances M.
