The family of John Barkley (1753-1831) who lived in Sumner County (created from Davidson Co. in 1786), Tennessee. By 1799 Smith County was created from Sumner County. Moses Baird (ca. 1736-ca. 1782) is believed to have been born in New Jersey or Pennsylvania. At age 22, he enlisted in the Bucks Co., Pennsylvania regiment. He married Margaret Brown and they reared a family of eight children who were all born in Pennsylvania. Descendants lived primarily in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois and elsewhere.

John Henry Meiners (1872-1961) married Emma Josephine Voigt (1873-1939) in 1893 in Hamburg, Germany. They adopted one of his sister's children, Carl Weinberger, in 1897 before immigrating to the U.S. that same year. They moved to Bancroft, Idaho, where they had two children. Descendants have written short histories. Includes the Weinberger descendants. Descendants lived in Idaho, Oregon, Utah and elsewhere.

Wolfert Kouwehoven came to America in 1625 from the Netherlands. His descendant, John, and wife, Lydia Covenhoven were married in 1752 in Middlesex, New Jersey. They came to Virginia in 1781 and purchased land in 1782 in what is now West Virginia. Many descendants went by the surname "Crownover". Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Iowa, Indiana, Texas, Tennessee, California, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and elsewhere.

John Okely/Ockye was buried in Ledbury, Herefordshire, England in 1576. Descendant William Blackmore Okely, was born 30 May 1809 in Bristol, Gloucestershire, England. He immigrated to Swan River Colony, Western Australia in 1829.

Description
Aaron Reeves was born at Deptford, New Jersey, the son of Arthur Reeves (d. 1786) and the grandson of Thomas Reeves (d. 1779), the immigrant. He served in the Revolutionary War as a private under George Washington. He and his wife, Mary?, had at least four sons. He died in 1831 in Warren County, Pennsylvania. Descendants and relatives listed lived in New York, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Texas, Illinois, and elsewhere.
