The earliest known ancestor, Jacob Wright (b. 1774), was the son of Jacob Wright Sr. and Nancy? Waters. He married 1797 in Washington Co., Ky., Miriam Helm (b. 1778). They had thirteen children born in Washington and Barren Co., Kentucky. Jacob Wright was a native of Virginia and Miriam Helm of South Carolina. They came to Kentucky in 1805 and settled in Glasgow area of Barren County.

James Thomas McConnell was born in Georgia in 1909. His name was legally changed from James Thomas Hart after his parents were divorced in 1911. He married Hazel Minter Farrer in 1928. Material collected on his ancestral lines from Ireland and Scotland who moved to the south about 1770 is included in these volumes.
Includes McConnell, Stovall, Hart, Allen, McElroy, Farrer, Clark, and related families.

Charles Kilgore (ca. 1744-1822) was born in Ireland. He and his brothers immigrated to America, probably in the 1770's. Charles first settled in Virginia. He married Winnie Clayton (1741-1784), and they had six children. He married Martha McIlhaney, a daughter of James McIlhaney, in 1785. They also had six children. Many descendants live in Tennessee, Virginia, and surrounding states.

Turner Turkett (1795-1875) was born in Richland County, Camden District, South Carolina. He married Delilah Strickland (1799- 1885), daughter of Nathan Strickland, a major in the Revolutionary War, ca. 1815. They had ten children, ca. 1817-ca. 1841. Turner and Delilah Turkett are buried at Sandy Level Church Cemetery near Blythewood, South Carolina. Descendants lived in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Texas, and elsewhere.
