Martin Allen (1780-1837) was born at Newport, Campbell County, Kentucky, the son of Benjamin Allen (ca. 1752-1813), probably an immigrant from Ireland. He married Elizabeth Vice (1784-1843), a native of Virginia, in 1804 at Newport. They had ten children, 1805-1824. The family was living in Louisiana by 1810. Descendants of four early McCorkle immigrants, James, William, Samuel and Alexander. All four were from Argyllshire, Scotland, migrated to Ireland and then immigrated to Pennsylvania in about 1729. James and William were brothers and Samuel and Alexander were brothers. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Pennsylvania, Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi, Missouri, Arkansas and Texas.

David Seitz (1784-1869) was a descendant of George Seitz who immigrated from the Palatinate prior to 1783. He married Sarah (Sallie) Weidner and they settled in Lincoln (later Catawba) County, North Carolina. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas, Idaho and elsewhere.
