William Ignatius Amerine, son of Gustav Amrein and Katherina Mozer, was born in 1876 in Altoona, Pennsylvania. He married Edith Annie Smith, daughter of James McDoanld Smith and Florence Amelia Burch, in 1899. They had eight children.
