Description
James Thomas McConnell was born in Georgia in 1909. His name was legally changed from James Thomas Hart after his parents were divorced in 1911. He married Hazel Minter Farrer in 1928. Material collected on his ancestral lines from Ireland and Scotland who moved to the south about 1770 is included in these volumes.
Includes McConnell, Stovall, Hart, Allen, McElroy, Farrer, Clark, and related families.

Nicholas Byram (ca. 1610-1688) immigrated from Kent County, England to Boston, Massachusetts in 1634/1635. He married Susannah Shaw in 1635 and settled at Weymouth, Massachusetts, later moving to Bridgewater, Massachusetts. He was a direct ancestor of Abby Byram and her father, Edward Byram. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri and elsewhere.

Stephen Tilly was born in about 1782 in Wilkes County, North Carolina. His parents were Stephen Tilly and Jane Pettigrew. He married Rebecca King in about 1812 and they had seven children. Rebecca died in 1826 in Pendleton District, South Carolina. Stephen then married Elizabeth. Stephen died June 29, 1862 in DeKalb County, Georgia. Descendants and relatives lived in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and elsewhere.

Josiah Wright, Jr. may have been born in Northampton, Massachusetts. He fought in the American Revolution. He married Eunice Easton and they had three children, Sophia, Eunice and Josiah (1790-1856). Josiah died 6 February 1792 in Greenville, Pitt, North Carolina. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Vermont, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Illinois and Wisconsin.
