Daniel, Archibald, John, Matthew, and Mansfield McDuffee were all said to be sons of John (ca. 1650-1720) and Martha (ca. 1650-1720) McDuffee. Besides the 5 brothers, there were two sisters, Ann and Mary, whose descendants were not traced. The children also used the name McFee or McAfee. Sometime during the 1720's, Daniel, Archibald, John, and Matthew immigrated to the United States. Mansfield did not immigrate but his son or sons did later. ...

Dr. John Fee (b. 1762) immigrated (probably from Ireland) to Cecil County, Maryland before the Revolutionary War. He married Ellen Ritchie and died after 1820. Descendants lived throughout most of the United States.

Joshua W. Lynch, son of Thomas Lynch and Elizabeth Watts, was born in 1790 in Baltimore. Maryland. He married Anna Tee in 1821. They moved to Ohio and lived there for over fifteen years before moving to Daviess County, Missouri in 1839. Joshua died in 1859 near Gallatin, Missouri. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Missouri and California.

James McFee was born in about 1795 in Ireland. He married Elinor Shimmin July 6, 1816 in Kirk Michael, Isle of Man. He died in 1865 and was buried in Kirk Marown. He gave his birthplace as Rushen, Ireland in Census records. The compiler has attempted to locate James and his relatives in the parish registers of Rushen, Donegal, Ireland from 1761 to 1992. Lists McFees chronologically as found in the parish registers.

John and Martha McDuffee of Ireland may have been the parents or grandparents of five early McDuffee, McFee or McAfee settlers in New Hampshire, Vermont and New York.
