George Van Ness (1755-1832) married Elleanor Van Lear and they migrated to Ohio (pre-statehood) and settled in Butler County. They had eleven children, two of whom died before reaching maturity. George died on March 22, 1832, in Pike township in Madison County, Ohio. Jorg Beihofer (ca. 1620-ca. 1655) is believed to have been born in the Tyrol and died at Bilfingen, Baden. He and his wife, Barbara, had three children, ca. 1640-1654.
