Justin Charles Anderson was born 4 April 1906 in Ammon, Idaho. His parents were Joseph Anderson (1872-1933) and Ingeborg Kamille Marie Christensen (1874-1940). He married Alice May McIntyre, daughter of Charles McIntyre and Mary Maria Steele, 22 June 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They had six children. He died in 1989 in Aurora, Colorado. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in England, Denmark, Utah and Idaho.

Michael Simon (d.1773) immigrated from the Palatinate of Germany to Philadelphia in 1741, and settled in Germantown, Pennsylvania. His great grandson, Edward Simon (1813-1876), married Mary A. Kochersperger, the daughter of Martin Kochersperger (a German immigrant who served in the Revolutionary War and lived in Philadelphia). Descendants listed lived chiefly in Pennsylvania.
