Edward Swann was born in Ireland about 1795. He came to America first settling in South Carolina, before moving first to Georgia and later to Alabama. He married three times, to Mary Elizabeth, and later to Hannah McCollum, and then to Avaline Hodges. He was the father of at least 14 children. Information on many of his descendants is given in this material. Descendants continue to live in Alabama, Texas, Louisanna, and elsewhere. .

Benjamin Thadieus Davis (1793-1866), a son of Jeffrey Davis and Lucy Bondurant Landrum, was born in Virginia and moved to Kentucky at a time not stated. He married Susanna Jordan (1803-1852) before 1821, and they had thirteen children. Most known descendants live in Texas.

Augustas Oliver (1818-1887) was born in Georgia. In 1840 he married Elizabeth Emaline Hamrick and they were the parents of ten children. In about 1855 the family moved to Tallapoosa County, Alabama.
