Brief autobiograhical account of highlights in the life of Robert McQuarrie.

Chiefly a record of some of John McQuarrie. He was born in Scotland. He married Ann McKinnon 31 Jan 1792. They were the parents of ten children.

Daniel Sinclair , his wife, Ann Campbell and six of their seven children immigrated from Scotland to America in 1843. From the Port of New York they went to Albany and then west. They joined a party of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1848 and moved to Utah and later settled in Bountiful. John M. Macfarlane was a great grandson. Other descendants lived in Utah, Arizona, California; Chihuahua, Mexico and elsewhere.

One of the first MacQuarries to arrive in America was John McQueery who immigrated to Virginia in the late 1600s or early 1700s. Settling nearby was a Duncan McQuarrie. In Canada, MacQuarries started settling in and around Pictou, Nova Scotia in the 1770s. Other memberrs of Clan MacQuarrie also emigrated from Scotland to such far away places as Australia and New Zealand. Descendants live throughout the world.

Both were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and grandchildren of predominantly immigrant convert grandparents.
