Jesse Joseph McQueen (1894-1975) was born in Preston, Oneida Co., Idaho to John Naisbitt McQueen (1856-1941) of Johnstone, Lanark, Scotland and Fanny Eliza Swann of Peterson, Morgan, Utah. He married Lillie May Oborn in the Logan LDS Temple on Aug. 6, 1919. She was born 1895 in Ogden, a daughter of Heber Charles and Emily Millgate Oborn.

Alexander McQueen (1777-1859) was born at Girvan, Scotland, the son of James and Frances Wilson McQueen. He married Sarah Gordon in 1800 at Newton upon Ayr. They moved to Paisley near Glasgow, Scotland. They had four children, 1801-1808. He died at Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland. James MacQueen, son of Archibald MacQueen and Flora McDonald, was born in about 1760 on the Isle of Syke, Scotland. He emigrated in about 1722 and settled in North Carolina. He married Ann MacRae and they had twelve children. Their daughter, Maria MacQueen, married Peter McEachin, son of John McEachin and Flora Graham, in 1827. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in North Carolina, Tennesee, Mississippi and Texas.
