Clyde Emery Hilligoss was born in Illinois in 1919. He married and was the father of three children. Information on many of his ancestral lines is given in this collection of material and correspondence. Several of these lines can be traced back to colonial America.

Daniel Drake Gorman (1853-1936) and Edmund R. Gorman (1860-1942) were both born in Wyandot Co., Ohio, sons of Samuel Gorman and Elizabeth Drake. The family later moved to Iowa.
