Beth Elenda Smith Spencer was born 12 November 1923 in Teague, Freestone, Texas. Her parents were Lex Smith (1885-1948) and Addie Burke Sullivan (1887-1977). She married George Lisle Spencer, Jr. (b. 1921) 12 June 1943 in St. Petersburg, Florida. His parents were George Lisle Spencer and Florence Florene Summers. Robert McWilliams, of Scot lineage, was born in 1819 in County Antrim, Ireland and married Elizabeth Cush in 1841. They immigrated in 1845 to Virginia, and later moved to Ben Hill, Georgia. He married widow Lucinda Brown Taylor in 1871 and died in 1882.

William James Thompson was born in 1889 in Kansas. In 1913 he married Hattie Moore. He died in California in 1964. Descendants are scattered.

William P. Stevenson (1852-1918), son of Irish immigrant Thomas Stevenson, married Annie A. Leattor in 1876, and lived in McVeytown, Pennsylvania. Descendants listed lived chiefly in Pennsylvania.

Henry Denson Averett, son of William C. Averett (1871-1932) and Hattie Ida Clark (1869-1915), was born in 1911 in Logansport, Louisiana. He married Mattie Elizabeth DeLaney (1917-2011), daughter of Jessie Lee DeLaney (1822-1936) and Laura Lucile McWilliams (1890-1975), in 1937 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Matthias Cowan (1735-1819) married Rachel Ellen Gray about 1770/1771 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and settled on land in what became Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Texas and elsewhere.

James McWilliams was born about 1746 in York County, Pennsylvania. James married Rosanna in South Carolina and their son was named David. James died in Lowndes County, Mississippi after 1837. Andrew M. McWilliams, the brother of James was born around 1750. He married Elizabeth. Their children were John, Jane, Francis, Anne, James, Polly, Watson, Elizabeth and Mary. Daniel McWilliams (1825-1871) was born in Dundonald, Ayrshire, Scotland. He married Mary Jane Neill in 1846. They immigrated to Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia in 1854. Daniel left the family in 1863 and moved to New York. He enlisted in the Union Army. After the Civil War he lived in Osceola Mills, Pennsylvania. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Washington and elsewhere.

Major General John Hammond (1643-1707) was the son of Thomas Hammond of Isle of Wight, England. He immigrated to America. He was the father of three sons: John, William and Charles by his first wife.
