Chiefly parental ancestors, relatives, and family of the author's mother, Madge Edna Landers Mead (1912-1995). She was born in Wheeler County, Texas, the daughter of Thomas Adrian Landers (1886-1968) and Emma Nita Boase (1889-1962). She married Clyde Cecil Mead 4 Jul 1937. They were the parents of two children.
Ancestry is traced back to Christopher Landis (ca. 1710-1771) who died in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
