Arris P. Meadows (d. ca. 1820) married Martha Byrnside in 1791. They had fourteen children. Many descendants live in West Virginia.
Daniel Meadows (b. ca. 1729) married Elizabeth Jennings Mangum ca. 1749. They had four children. Many descendants live in North Carolina and Kentucky.

Josiah Meador (1736-ca. 1795) was descended from Thomas Mead/Meador/ Meadows. Most of Josiah's own descendants seem to have spelled it "Meador." His wife was named Lavinia; they had four children. Most descendants are in West Virginia and surrounding states.

Jonas Meador, son of John Meador Sr., was born in Essex County, Virginia ca. 1696-1700. Jonas married Frances and all of their children were born in the Essex-Caroline area of Virginia. In 1751 he bought land in Cumberland County where he died in 1768. Descendants lived in Virginia, North Carolina, Missouri, Tennessee, and elsewhere.

Robert A. B. McCarter was born 3 May 1812 in South Carolina. He was the son of James McCrter and Nancy Davy. Robert married Mariah Louisa Meador 6 November 1844 in Greene Co., Alabama. They lived in Navarro Co., Texas and were the parents of eight children. Descendants lived in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and elsewhere.
