Charles Myers (Carl Frederick Meier) was born in 1827 in Elsar, Prussia, Germany, and immigrated to the United States in 1843. He married Margaret Schell, daughter of Christian and Sallie Luninger Schell, in 1854 in Knox Co., Indiana. They had twelve children, 1855-1875. The family lived in Pike County, Indiana. He died in 1879. Descendants listed live in Indiana and elsewhere.

David Anselm (1850-1878)--son of Frederick Anselm and Magdalena Rinkel --lived in Altenheim, Baden, Germany. He married Catharina Pauly (Pauli) in 1874. Their daughter, Katharina Anselm (1874-1939), an orphan at the age of five, married (1) David Anselm (d.1900) in 1894, and (2) Theobald Meyer (Meier) in 1902. She had children (including a son) by each marriage. Descendants and relatives traced lived in Altenheim, Germany.

Dionysius Meyers, son of Hans Heinrich Meyers and Catherine, was baptized in1678. He married Anna Maria Durr, daughter of Hans Durr, in 1704. They had eleven children. They emigrated in 1727 and settled in Pennsylvania. Their son, Johann Dieterich Meyers, was born in 1721. He married Maria Magdalena in about 1739. They had two children. He married Margaret Leib in 1763. They had four children. Descendants also spelled their name Myers and Meier.

He married Anna Grauer, daughter of Johann George Grauer and Anna MArgaretha Maier, in 1855 in Rhine, Wisconsin. They had nine children. He died in 1914 in Newton, Iowa. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Wisconsin and Iowa.
