Ricklef Meiners (1814-1902) married Anke Stine Aschen in 1845, and in 1847 they immigrated from Germany to Houston, Texas. They later moved to Industry, Texas and then to Round Top and Waldeck in Fayette County, Texas. Descendants and relatives lived in Texas and elsewhere. Includes several generations of ancestors in Germany to about 1685.

Descendants of Johann Frederick Mescher (1806-1881), who was born in Hanover, Germany, and died in Massac County, Illinois. He and his brothers ran a packing company in Franklin Co., Indiana in the early 1800s. Frederick married Anna Helena Peterhagen (1817-1883) after coming to America. She was the daughter of John Henry and Helena Peterhagen of Germany. The Peterhagens settled in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1833. Frederick and Anna Helena had fourteen children....

Enne Meinders (1798-before 1832) was born at Hesepe, now Nordhorn, Germany, the daughter of Geerd and Gese Graven Meinders. She married Geerd Schievink (d. 1863). Because she had inherited her home place, he took the name of his wife, Meinders. They had four children, 1819-1829. After Enne's death, he married her sister, Harmtjen Meinders (b. 1805) in 1832.
