Descendants of Aaron Melvin (1796-1861) born in North Carolina, and died in Parrish Village, Franklin Co., Illinois. He married 1820 Margaret Sullivan (1802-1874) born in Tennessee. They had eight children born in 1822 through 1849 in Tennessee and Illinois.

Melvin Walker Orgill, son of Alexander Orgill (1891-1958) and Margaret Ellen Walker (1895-1960)., was born in 1924 in Egin, Idaho. He married Laree Kerr in 1953. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in England, Utah and Idaho.

Daniel Melvin (1708-1786) was born in Scotland and married Jane Thomas in North Carolina where he settled after immigrating to America. he settled in Bladen County and was the father of seven children. Descendants live in North Carolina and other parts of the United States.
