Richard Currier (1616-1686/1687) emigrated from England to Salisbury, Massachusetts about 1638, and married twice (probably once in England). Descendants lived throughout the United States. Ira Elwin Merrill (1914-2007), son of Ira Lafayette Merill (1885-1968) and Jesse Sophronia Smith (1883-1921), was born in Declo, Idaho. He married Nora Adeline Chandler (1916-1965) in 1940 in San Jose, California . They had three children. He married Barbara Hess in 1966. They had two children.
