John Benson (ca.1608-1678) married Mary Williams in 1633, and in 1638 they immigrated from England to Hingham, Massachusetts, later moving to Hull, Massachusetts. Isaac Benson (b.ca.1669), a grandson, moved from Hull to Sandwich, and married Mary Bumpas in 1698/1699. Description
Leander Stephens, son of Joshua Stephens and Christina Dutcher, was born 2 May 1771 in Canaan, Connecticut. Susan Palmer, daughter of Samuel Palmer and Mary Parker, was born in 1772. They were married about 1791. They had eleven children. Leander died after 1840 in Tompkins County, New York. No record of Susan's death is listed. Their ancestors have lived in Connecticut, Massachusetts, England, Rhode Island and other areas of the United States.

Reuben Doty Stephens was born 8 August 1799 in Herkimer County, New York. He married Sally Ann Milks ca. 1820 in Ithaca, New York. They moved to Green County, Wisconsin ca. 1841 and had nine known children. Reuben died 22 April 1858. Descendants lived primarily in Wisconsin and Nebraska.

John Milk was appointed cowherd for the town of Salem, Massachusetts, in 1662. The same year he was chosen for the duty of chimney sweep. He married Sarah Wesson in 1665. They had two children, 1668/9-1670. He died at Salem, ca. 1689. His son, John Milk, Jr. (b. 1668/9), shipwright, married Elizabeth Hempfield in 1689 at Marblehead, Massachusetts.
