William Riley Boon was born in 1840 in Texas. He married Mary Ann Walters, daughter of Hezekiah Walters and Martha Patsy Viser, in 1867 in Collin County, Texas. They had seven children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Texas, Oklahoma and Illinois.

He married Elizabeth Simpkins, daughter of John Simpkins and Elizabeth Rench, in about 1742 in Goochland County, Virginia. They had ten children. In 1765, Jacob Wendling (Wandling) and his wife, Anna Maria settled in Warren County, New Jersey and were among the first settlers in Brasscastle.
