Despite the title, this book considers only the possible ancestry of John Mobberley who came to Anne Arundel County, Maryland, in 1687. He brought his wife Elizabeth Woods and they had 5 sons and 1 daughter. William Mobberley also came to America in 1680 and may have been a brother to John. John is supposed to have descended from Radulfo de Modburlegh who lived in Cheshire, England in the 1100's. There were some connections with the Bigot line....

J. A. Bland (1821-1884) and Sallie A. Watson (1833-1882) were married in 1851. They had ten children, 1852-1868. Their daughter, Sophia Alice Bland (1852-1898), and J. F. Mobley (b. 1850) were married in in 1872. They had four children, 1874-1877. Her sister, Kate Smyly Bland (1860-1903), married John E. Schumpert (1859-1917) in 1882. They had six children, 1883-1899. Aaron Templeman (1759-1821) married Mary Wyatt in 1785 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. They had at least eight children. Descendants lived in South Carolina, Alabama, Texas, Arkansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, California and elsewhere.

Caleb Brobst was born in 1830 in Madison Township, Pickaway County, Ohio, the son of Jacob and Philipina Brobst. He married Sarah Margareta Smith, daughter of Jacob and Christian Smith, at Circleville, Ohio, in 1851. They had ten children, 1852-1875. He died at Elwood, Indiana, in 1903.
