James Beaty was probably born in the 1740s in Ireland. He married Ann Bennett in 1769 in County Wexford, Ireland. They had seven children. Four of the children immigrated to the United States. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Ireland, Ohio, Illinois and Iowa.
