Edward Morton (b.1764) was probably born in Pennsylvania, but enlisted in the Revolutionary War from Augusta County, Virginia. He was probably a son of Elizabeth (Armstrong) Morton, who later married Thomas Douglas and lived in Highland County, Virginia.
