Ella Lee Goode was born 16 August 1874 in Loudoun County, Virginia. Her parents were Samuel Perry Goode (1850-1892) and Margaret Clara Settle (1852-1925). She married John W. Bodmer (1868-1944). They had five children. Ella died 10 June 1952. Includes letters written to her from 1896 to 1900 when she was working in Washington, D.C. as a seamstress before marrying.
