Description
William Munro, son of John Munro and Barbra Fraser, was born in 1814 in Scotland. His family emigrated in 1824 and settled in Ontario. He married Grace Ann Madden, daughter of Byron Madden and Ellen Lynn, in 1835 in Prescott, Ontario. They had twelve children. They immigrated to California in 1866. He died in 1888 in Manchester, California.

Orren Munro was born in about 1799 probably in Massachusetts. His son. Peris Courtland Munro was born in 1820 in Ontario. He was one five or six children of his father's first wife. Oren married Mahala and six more children. He died when he was 96. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in New York, Ontario. Michigan and California.

Family tradition states that the Munros were of ancient Scots and were banished from Scotland by the Romans. They fled to Ireland and the western isles and then returned several centuries later. Tradition also credits O'Cathan, an ancient Irish chief and Prince of Fermanagh, as the founder of the Munros of Fowlis. John D. McDougal (ca. 1835-1905) emigrated from Scotland to Canada between 1849 and 1855. He married Christy Ann Munro in Middlesex County in 1855. They immigrated to St. Clair County, Michigan, ca. 1867. Descendants lived in Michigan, Minnesota, Oregon, Florida, and elsewhere.

Description
George Palmer, Jr. (1795-1834) married Phebe Draper (1797-1879) in Canada ca. 1815. Phebe was born in Rome, New York, daughter of William Draper and Lydia Lathrop. Their children were born in Ontario. Phebe joined the L.D.S. Church in 1833. She married (2) Ebenezer Brown and later died in Draper, Utah. Descendants live in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, California, and elsewhere.

Alice Myrtle Munro was born in Winchester Township, Ontarion in 1930, the daughter of Calvin Samuel Munro (1890-1973) and Minnie Luella Merkley Munro (1892-1956). She married William Ren Elliott (b. 1922) in 1949. They had seven children, 1949-1962, all born in Winchester Township.
