Richard Edwardes was born 1525 in Somersetshire, England. At the age of 15 he enter Oxford University where he excelled as a writer, composer and teacher. He died in 1566.

Description
John Naugle (b.ca.1736) and his family immigrated about 1768 from Germany to Massachusetts, and John served with the colonists in the Battle of Lexington or Bunker Hill in June 1775. John was apparently wounded, and the family moved to land near Woodstock in the Shenandoah Valley, Shenandoah County, Virginia, where John died. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Minnesota, California and elsewhere.

Christian Souders Sr.(1765-1823) may have been the second eldest son of Jacob and Elizabeth Sowder of Frederick County, Maryland. His brother, Michael Sowder was born there in 1768. The Jacob Sowder family later moved to Montgomery County, Virginia. Christian also lived in Tennessee and Indiana. Descendants lived in Missouri, California, Colorado, Oregon, and elsewhere.

Jacob Schwanger was born 14 October 1714 in Abreschviller, Lorraine,Germany. His parents were Michael Schwanger and Magdalena Vautrin. He married Maria Susanna Leyenberger in 1735. Their descendant, Simon Adamson, Jr. (1763-1814) married Eleanor Routh, born 1769 in Randolph County, North Carolina. Simon died in Knox or Jefferson County, Tennessee. James McDowell was born in Randolph or Duplin County, North Carolina, in 1776. He married Susanna Gainey, daughter of Meredith and Nancy Ann Shotwell Gainey, in Duplin County, ca. 1796. The family moved to Lawarence County, Indiana, in 1818. He died in 1821 in Springville, Indiana, leaving the care of his family to his two sons, William, age 13, and John, age 11.
