Miles Marshall was born in 1789 in Guildford County, North Carolina. He married Martha Jones, daughter of Jesse and Hanna Fraser Jones, in 1810 in Tennessee. They had ten children, 1811-1832. The family moved to Wayne County, Indiana, in 1813. He moved to Iowa with some of his family in 18t4. He died in 1868 at Dexter, Iowa. Descendants lived in Iowa, Indiana, and elsewhere.

Chiefly a record of some of the descendants of John McNeal. He was born c. 1680 in Scotland. He immigrated to American between 1700 and 1722. He married Elizabeth McNealus 2 Aug 1744 in Pennsylvania. He died in Hardy County, Virginia in 1765. They are the parents of one known child. Descendants lived in Virginia, Tennessee, Missouri, Oregon, Washington, and elsewhere.
