Cacey Potter Bowen Jr. (1858-1942) was born in Ogden, Utah, and married Arvilla Susannah Booth in 1879. They settled in Lyman, Idaho where Arvilla died in 1916. Peter Gustaf Nilsson and Christina Nilsdotter came from Kalslunda Parish in Safsjo, a small community in Kalmar Lan, Smaland, Sweden. The couple took the name Peterson when they came to the United States in 1892 so that they and their children would all have the same surname. They settled in Brown County, Kansas. Eight of the couple's twelve children emigrated with them to the United States.
